Candidates will need to attend a full two week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. This facility operates 24/7. Candidate may be required to work 16 hr shift as needed. The normal shift will be 12 hours, days or nights. This position will be full-time and on-site.What You'll Do

• Assess resident complaints and determine action, notifying supervisor when necessary
• Admit and transfer residents to and from other units or outside sources.
• Administer oral and/or injectable medication and controlled medications in accordance with facility policy, and within their scope of practice as defined by Florida law
• Observe for side effects or adverse effects to medication and report to assigned supervisor, or further assessment and treatment
• Prepare paperwork as required for consults within facility and outside appointments
• Coordinate residents' appointments with unit staff to ensure medications are appropriately timed as need for resident movement to and from the unit
• Provide emergency medical/psychiatric treatment within scope of practice as defined by facility and Florida law and notifying supervisor for further assistance
• Complete incident reports factually and objectively, within the appropriate time frame as defined by the facility
• Complete progress notes on resident care within the appropriate time frame as defined by the facility
• Advocate for residents' recovery and safety
• Maintain appropriate and professional behavior during interactions with residents', supervisors, and other staff members
• Display professionalism throughout employment including, but not limited to, arriving to work on time, maintaining an accurate timesheet, and maintaining professional appearance as defined by facility policyWhat You'll NeedRequired:
  • Must hold unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • One year of nursing experience, strongly preferred
  • Must be CPR certified, or able to complete training
  • Must be able to complete full orientation at time of hire
  • High School Diploma or GEDPhysical Demands
    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
