Senior Vice President Strategy
As the Senior VP of Strategy, you will work directly for the CEO to identify business partnerships and growth initiatives, including driving pipeline growth to help the business secure profitable revenue across our business lines. The business partnerships should ideally identify product revenue that can be accretive to the organization with immediate effect.
This role leads our effort in prioritizing the investments and focusing them on strategic priorities, financial returns on investment, and the ability to deliver revenue. Working collaboratively with other members of the executive team, this individual is accountable for creating visibility for senior executives into a chosen set of transformational initiatives to ensure that best practices are followed and that initiatives are positioned for success; to raise and resolve issues in a manner that increases the pace of progress and improves chances of realizing full value; to partner with leaders to create measures of progress and value creation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Serve as an external-facing representative of our client and ensure transparent and professional communication both internally and externally,
* Identify new opportunity sources for our client beyond the current scope.
* Drive business case development to articulate returns and secure necessary investments for advancing strategy.
* Able to drive results personally and through others.
* Acquire and develop strong talent within the team.
* Support executive and board-level communications needed in support of business plans.
* Translate business strategy into operational plans to deliver results.
* Lead special projects on behalf of the senior team as needs arise within the Company.
* As opportunities arise, capture plans, schedules, PowerPoint "deal decks," and other planning/presentation materials should be created.
* Lead a business transformation planning process in partnership with company leadership to ensure our annual investment plan and actions align with our strategic goals and realize the growth and efficiencies desired by the CEO.* Ensure delivery of high value for the business and technology investments made in the company to ensure benefit realization.
* Provide ongoing communication on status, risk, issue management, and prioritization of initiatives in the portfolio.
Job Specifications
* Undergraduate degree required; Masters preferred
* Significant industry and leadership experience required
* 10 to 15 plus years of experience in a senior-level strategic position
* Effective influencing, communication, and collaboration across multiple business functions.
* Strong business acumen and technology knowledge are required to deliver a holistic plan with the most outstanding value possible.
* Able to drive strategic and detailed analysis and summarize effectively to support decision-making by others.
* A strong driver of results but able to partner with others to achieve results.
* Able to balance a support function as a contributing senior team member.
* Strong people leader and developer of talent for the Enterprise.
* An internal and external mindset to ensure optimal investments.
