Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our team in the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, providing comprehensive tax services and advice that support our client’s unique business and personal financial goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to manage, plan, and supervise tax engagements, conduct technical tax research, and advise clients on complex tax matters. Responsibilities: As a Permanent Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 1. Managing and coordinating tax audits, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations. 2. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns including 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 1120, and 709. 3. Utilizing tax software such as CCH Axcess, CaseWare, Workstream, and Lacerte to maximize efficiency and accuracy. 4. Supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. 5. Providing strategic tax planning and consulting to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client satisfaction. 6. Staying abreast of current tax practices and changes in tax law to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients. 7. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients through exceptional service and expertise. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Manager role should possess the following qualifications and skills: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, Master’s in Taxation, or JD is highly preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a related field. 3. Proven experience with tax preparation and review, including 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 1120, and 709. 4. Proficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess, CaseWare, Workstream, and Lacerte. 5. Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing and developing staff. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex tax information to clients. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 8. Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
